As a residential college, 96% of our students live on campus as a close-knit community that lives, learns, engages, and thrives together. Our residence halls are more than just a location for sleep and study. Living in residence halls at Grove City College promotes ideal spaces for students to interact with one another, bulid and deepen friendships, and experience programs that are thoughtfully created to enrich relationships, foster learning, value diversity, and cultivate personal and collective growth.

Our 11 residence halls are staffed by full-time professional Residence Directors (RDs) and nearly 90 student Resident Assistants (RAs). RDs and RAs are relationally focused and work diligently to provide a quality living and learning experience for students. Our staff also works closely with the Academic Resource Center to holistically support students, including assisting students with special housing needs.

Mission

Residence Life furthers the mission of Grove City College by fostering diverse, Christ-centered communities committed to the holistic development of students as thoughtful and engaged citizens prepared to serve society.

Philosophy

Residence Life seeks to develop students holistically - socially, emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, and morally. We seek to provide opportunities that intentionally engage residential students, recognize and celebrate each person, and help students thrive at Grove City College.

As a result of living in residence halls at Grove City College, students will:

Learn the necessity of community to individual and corporate flourishing
Identify behaviors of healthy relationships and design ways in which to engage in healthy relationships

Learn

Recognize the role a commitment to learning plays in their whole-person growth
Articulate multiple viewpoints about complex issues and formulate their own positions, demonstrating civility as they intentionally connect their behavior with their beliefs

Engage

Grow in their understanding and use of campus resources to support their learning and personal needs
Engage with and give to their campus community through relationships, by attending programs, and by being active members on their halls

Thrive

Exhibit growth personally, emotionally, relationally, academically, and spiritually
