Information for Parents

The Career Services Office (CSO) is a bridge between the academic sphere and the world of work. We are driven by our overarching mission to guide students in their realization and pursuit of God’s calling for their lives. Additionally, we hope to equip our students with lifelong strategic job search skills to better prepare them to successfully navigate their future career paths. Our program helps students to identify their God-given interests, passions, talents and abilities early on during their freshman year and then build a four-year strategy to pursue a suitable, rewarding and satisfying career. We provide an array of services, resources and opportunities for our students, including one-on-one career counseling appointments, an On-Campus Recruiting (Interviewing) Program, various career resources, an online job posting system, and events/programs such as our annual fall Career Fair, Internship Fair, Alumni Career Panel Night, Professionalism Night and more.  Click HERE to learn more about the services we provide our students.

Grove City College students have proven to be successful after graduating from the institution.  For the Class of 2015, 97% of students attained employment or admittance into graduate school six months post-graduation. (The response rate for the survey was 95% of the graduating class).

Parents can have a wonderful and positive role in their student’s career planning choices.  To assist and support your son/daughter in the career development process, parents can encourage him/her to take career ownership and actively engage in our four-year process. If your student needs helps in identifying his/her interests and skills, not only are career assessments made available for all freshmen using the MyPlan assessments, but professional staff are available for individual career consultation appointments.
