Munnell, Marks named future Buhl Library directors

Barbra Munnell ’92 and Kim Marks have been appointed
director and assistant director of library services, respectively, for Buhl
Library at Grove City College. The leadership positions are effective July 1,
2013, prior to the next academic year.
New director Munnell currently serves as assistant director.
She will replace current Director of Library Services Diane Grundy ’65, who is
retiring at the end of 2012-13 academic year. Munnell earned her B.A. in
sociology and communications from Grove City College, and her Master of Science
in Library Science from Clarion University in 1994. She joined the staff in
1994 and has served in various capacities in Buhl Library, all as assistant
director.
The new Assistant Director Marks has been on the library
staff since 2006 and works as reference/instruction librarian. She earned a
bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Edinboro University in 2003 and a
Master of Library Science from Clarion University in 2005.
Retiring director Grundy has been the College’s head
librarian since 1969. She has helped students and staff become library and
research literate through many changes in technology and the world of library
science.
