The Stevenson Language Laboratory provides 24 individual lab stations where students may use their laptop computers to access language programs in French, Spanish, German and Chinese. All programs provide listening and speaking activities for students to practice and develop their language skills.
In addition to online, CD and DVD applications, ReLANpro, a cloud-based technology is also being used for instruction. Students can log on and use this software to record their responses both orally and visually and respond to the instructor directly, either from the lab or from another location on campus.
The language lab also has video cassette and DVD players which allow students to view a variety of cultural programs in the different languages. The lab has over 400 programs, plus cultural magazines, dictionaries, and encyclopedias which are stored in the lab for student use.
We also maintain a collection of resource materials for the selection of possible study abroad opportunities in Spain and Latin America.
Student lab assistants are available to help students or answer questions regarding lab procedures or operating systems in the lab.
