Grove City College students can earn a minor in Classical Studies. Students must take 21 credit hours from a combination of English, Greek, history, philosophy, political science and Latin.
Students graduating with a B.A. in history are well poised for careers in government service, politics, the military, publishing, journalism, communications, human resources, public relations, archives and museums, historical preservation and restoration, archaeology and more.
Students will be able to research, write and defend a variety of historical theories and movements and will be prepared for graduate work and employment in a wide array of disciplines and industries.
History students at Grove City College are also encouraged to take advantage of a variety of extracurricular resources such as honorary societies, special trips and study abroad opportunities as a way to deepen their course study.
Grove City College history students intern at wide variety of museums, historical sites, businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

Students majoring in history leading to 7-12 certification in secondary education social studies take courses specific to the history major along with the required liberal arts and education core.
