The theatre program at Grove City
College is an extracurricular arm of the Department of English. Students interested in the performing arts
can earn a minor in theatre by taking 24 credits in performance, dramatic literature,
and technical theatre. Students may also
earn one credit of Theatre Practicum every semester by working on college
productions.
Tau Alpha Pi (TAP) is the theatre
honorary at Grove City College. Students who have
accumulated enough theatre experience and have demonstrated a consistently high
level of contribution to the theatre program may be elected.
Every academic year we stage the
following events:
Fall TAP One-Act Play Festival (student-directed)
Fall Mainstage Production (faculty-directed)
Orchesis Dance Concert (student-choreographed)
Spring Mainstage Production (faculty-directed)
Children’s Theatre (student-directed)
Spring TAP One-Act Play Festival (student-directed)
All Grove City College students,
regardless of major, are welcome to audition for our theatre productions and
work on any of our many production crews.
