Internships are an integral part of a Grove City College education. As a way to gain practical experience, internships provide students with hands-on skills in the field of their choice and increase their value to potential employers after graduation. Internships also allow students to explore different career paths, for if a student enjoys a particular internship, it is likely he or she will also enjoy a career in that particular field.
Internships in the communication studies department are particularly unique. Communication studies students can pursue internships in a wide variety of fields. Radio, broadcast or print journalism, photography, business, non-profit, and politics are only a few of the many areas communication studies majors can explore.
