Facilities and Equipment

Physics faculty and students at Grove City College use cutting-edge equipment inside and outside of the classroom and lab to conduct research and publish their findings in leading science journals.

In addition to lab spaces are located in Rockwell Hall, housing a spectroscope, an ultra-fast high-power infrared laser, a sputtering chamber, and a scanning tunneling microscope. In addition, the college has two observatories: the on-campus observatory and the Grove City College observatory near Edinboro, Pa.

Minor in Astronomy

​The minor includes coursework in stars, galaxies, cosmology, astrophysics and observational astronomy.

After Graduation

Physics Major Leading to 7-12 Certification

Students majoring in physics leading to 7-12 certification in physics secondary education take 116 credit hours of major coursework and are exposed to real-life teaching situations during field experiences​.​
