Department of Computer Science 

 The Department of Computer Science at Grove City College prepares students for diverse careers in a wide variety of industries and for advanced study in top-ranked graduate and professional programs.

Offering majors in computer science and computer information systems, as well as a minor in computer science, students receive specialized instruction in software and programming languages, hardware, algorithms, applications and computation theory.

In addition, students partner with faculty to research advanced topic areas including software development, networks, multimedia, gaming, entertainment, hardware, user interfaces, graphics, embedded systems and more.​

Minor in Comp Scie

​ The minor provides students with an understanding of hardware and software concepts, structured program design, programming using C++, data structures and algorithms and computation theory.

B.S. Comp Information

​The Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems is an interdisciplinary program that prepares student to facilitate the development of computer utilization, databases and information systems to satisfy the requirements and needs of organizational management.

 

After Graduation

​Our graduates are employed in a wide variety of fields ranging from technology and heavy industry to consulting and small business.

 

Computer Engineering Concentration

​ Students take a series of courses that offer in-depth study of advanced C++ programming, operating systems, microprocessors, software engineering and computer architecture.

 

Undergraduate Research Opportunities

​The Department of Computer Science at Grove City College offers students the opportunity to perform independent or collaborative research projects guided by an experienced faculty member.
