Job Description: Grove City College invites applications for a part-time instructor of Aural Skills in the Department of Music. The successful candidate will teach Aural Skills 1 in the fall semester and Aural Skills 2 in the spring semester (2 credits each) to undergraduate music majors and music minors. These courses meet two times per week for 50 minutes each session. Course content includes listening skills, singing skills, melodic dictation, rhythmic dictation, interval identification, and chord identification. Preference is given to candidates who can demonstrate on the piano and vocally and are comfortable with solfeggio syllables (primarily moveable do). Preference is given to candidates with a Master of Music degree. College or university teaching experience is desirable.
