Position: Social Work Faculty Position
Office/Department: Psychology and Social Work
The Department of Psychology and Social Work at Grove City College invites applications for an open rank professor in Social Work, beginning in Fall 2018, to teach in a new and developing BSW program. Our program is currently in candidacy for accreditation and we seek an individual who can join our Program Director in constructing a strong and viable social work program.
The Department is looking for a candidate who can teach a range of foundational courses such as Introduction to Social Work and Generalist Practice I and II, and can supervise the field education component of our program. The successful candidate must have a proven commitment to teaching excellence and student advising. We additionally seek a candidate with strong interest in involving undergraduate students in social science research. A MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and five years of post-MSW practice experience is minimally required.
Preference will be given to candidates with undergraduate teaching experience who hold a PhD in Social Work. The candidate must demonstrate a personal commitment to the Christian faith and a desire to integrate faith into all aspects of their teaching.
Please send a current curriculum vitae, names and contact information of four references (three professional and one pastoral), and a letter of interest that includes an explanation of how your Christian faith represents a strong fit with Grove City College’s unique mission as a Christian college to: Ms. Jamie N. Kimble, Assistant Director of Human Resources at firstname.lastname@example.org.
