    WWI Exhibit, Grove City College

In remembrance of the 100th year of the United States entrance into World War One, Grove City College will be hosting a historical exhibit the weeks surrounding Armistice Day (U.S. Veteran’s day).
WWI is an often a forgotten war here at home, but in the United Kingdom, Europe, Africa and Russia it is long remembered.  WWI was, directly and indirectly, responsible for international make up and situations we continue to deal with into the 21st century.  Though often referred to as "the war to end all wars", the multi-nation conflict, which the United States entered very late in the game,  instead laid the groundwork for WWII via the rise of fascism and the Nazi state within an economically unstable and broken Germany.

This exhibit will highlight the historical connections of the College and community’s involvement in the war effort and how they did their small part to make an impact in the world.  Working In conjunction with the Grove City Historical Society, this exhibition aims to represent what the College and town looked like at the time, the activities and involvement to contribute to the cause and what significance small towns like Grove City had in the overall effort.

    Some highlights include:
    -    WWI posters
    -    WWI uniforms
    -    WWI artifacts
    -    Imagery of the town, college and war
    -    Honor roll of those who fought and those who lost their lives in the war
