How big of a role did the affordability of Grove City College play in your college decision making process?
Grove City College was not only affordable, but was the best quality education I could get for what I was paying. I was considering other Division III schools in order to pursue my dream of earning a degree as well as playing football in college. The other schools on my radar were affordable, but none could compare with the reputation that Grove City College has earned as a top academic institution.

Overall, how would you describe the spiritual environment at Grove City College?
While in my decision process, I heard rumors of what the Christian environment entailed at Grove City College. I was blown away when I got to school and realized God’s presence on this campus. I was involved in the Bible study with the football team, as well as a Bible study in our housing group. I have grown closer to God and to my friends at this school through faith. Being able to hear a testimony from someone truly allows you to step into their shoes and see things from their perspective. This has been a crucial part of building lasting relationships with other Grove City College students.

How would you describe the level of academics you have experienced during your time at Grove City College?
Academics at Grove City College have been very challenging. In high school, I was not forced to study like I do in college. I am constantly challenged by my course schedule and feel that I earn every grade I receive here. There are not many classes that are taken lightly by professors, all of which are genuinely concerned with the success of their students. Being on the football team has made the course schedule additionally challenging, but has also been a great teacher of true time management.

What is the relationship like between the students and the professors?
The faculty at Grove City College has an interest in students that surpasses some high school teachers. The small student body helps the professors to truly get to know their students, as well as be involved in the success of their students. Office hours are usually available with any professor, and he or she is more than happy to re-explain and help the students to the best of their ability.

What do you find to be the most unique aspect of Grove City College?
The environment of Grove City College is both unique and important. This school embraces the aspect of community in a special way. Everyone you meet here can have a conversation with you while smiling and making you feel welcome. Faculty encourage the learning environment in an encouraging way, and the administration as a whole is very accessible and easy to work with. The campus community is welcoming to new faces. I would be surprised if I found another institution in the country with the class of people you will find at Grove City College.

What are some of the things you do during your free time either on or off campus?
Outside of classes, students at Grove City College have a multitude of ways to get plugged into campus life. Intramural sports are extremely popular, especially since the focus is not always being good at the sport, but instead fostering the environment of community and friendship among the students. The clubs on campus are a great way to connect with those with similar interests to you, and can also lead to finding a Greek group to live with.

Fraternities, sororities, and housing groups are all a great way to build lasting relationships with other students at the College. Being the president of the Nu Delta Epsilon housing group has given me the opportunity to see true life change in the lives of the men in our group. We have built great relationships with the guys on our hall and hope to build relationships with the rest of the campus community. The Grove City College campus is a great place to be.
