How big of a role did affordability play in your college decision making process?
Grove City College’s affordability played a big part in my college decision. While it wasn’t the first feature of the College that caught my attention, it was great to know that I wouldn’t have to compromise the chance to have excellent academic experience because of the high price of education.

How was your faith strengthened and perhaps even challenged during your time here?
Coming to Grove City College was one of the most faith-affirming experiences in my life. I’ve never been surrounded by a group of people who are more intentionally invested in lifting each other up and holding each other accountable when it comes to living out our faith, which can often be a huge challenge when we get preoccupied with other things. Almost every campus group I was involved in participated in some kind of Bible study or devotional practice, and that was a huge part of my spiritual growth and learning during college.

How would you describe the level of academics you experienced at Grove City College?
The academics are rigorous — that’s no joke — but the unique thing about them is that they are also enjoyable and engaging. I can honestly say I learned some kind of valuable lesson from every single class I took. The faculty and my peers were excellent. They always held each other to the highest standards of ethics and integrity, which makes for a great learning environment.

What is the relationship like between the students and the professors?
I always felt comfortable approaching my professors with questions or just saying “hi” outside of class. The faculty is so friendly and always willing to be involved in their students’ lives. That’s something that I think is really unique about Grove City College.

What is your favorite aspect of Grove City College?
The community. From the first time I visited as a prospective student, and still today, I felt very at home among everyone on campus. There are so many different groups of people, yet I feel that we all shared similar values, and that makes the College a very comfortable and happy place. I like that I could leave my wallet and laptop out in the open and no one steals anything. I really enjoyed the friendly competition of intense IM sporting events, and in the same day we could all go outside on the Quad during sunset and have worship services together. The people at Grove City College really make the place.

Describe your experience with residence life, particularly freshman year.
My freshman residence hall was fantastic! I am still close will a lot of the girls from my freshman hall. My RA’s did a great job planning activities and programs that strengthened our friendships and eased us into the transition from high school to college. The residence life staff at Grove City College is one of the most loving and genuinely caring groups of people on campus.
