The College follows the guidelines outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Students must self-disclose any current diagnosed disability in order to qualify under ADA for accommodations.
In order to receive assistance, the student must be evaluated by a professional in the field of psychology, neuropsychology, medicine, or psychiatry who can speak with authority about students' individual needs. The evaluation must include recommendations for accommodations and must be sent to the Disability Services Coordinator. After reviewing the documentation, the Disability Services Coordinator will then meet with the student to develop an accommodation plan based on the recommendations given.
