Grove City College hosts the National Federation of Music Clubs’ Regional Music Festival. Federation Festivals provide an opportunity for music students in grades K-12 to perform for a panel of professional musicians, receiving a rating and written evaluation. In addition to the solo division, students may perform hymns, patriotic songs, duets, and concertos, as well as take a music theory examination.

This is the 16th year that Grove City College has hosted the event. Approximately 350 students participate, many of them in multiple event categories. Forty music teachers from the Pittsburgh area will serve as judges, assisted by over 20 Grove City College student volunteers. Adjudications are closed to the public, but throughout the day some students will perform their festival pieces in an informal event in Arnold Recital Hall. The festival is coordinated by the chair of the music department, Beverly Carter.
