The Exercise Science Club at Grove City College creates a
professional community for students interested in exercise science. It
aims to promote educational opportunities in health and fitness
experiences on campus and in the local community.
The club holds one meeting or event monthly during the fall and
spring semesters. Recently, the club welcomed health professionals to
campus to discuss their careers and hosted an internship panel to share
experiences of students who completed internships over the summer.
Each year the club partners with the Grove City College Early
Education Program to host a “Children’s Field Day” to raise awareness
about healthy nutrition habits and engage children in exercise
The club sponsors an annual Exercise Science Symposium and hosts
fundraisers throughout the year in support of club expenses, support of
the symposium, conferences, and various needs in the Department of
The Grove City College Exercise Science Symposium is a full day
event showcasing research, information and new developments in the field
of exercise science. The symposium is hosted by the Grove City College
Exercise Science Club and is open to the public.
The fourth annual symposium is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, 2018
on Grove City College's campus in the Hall of Arts and Letters (Sticht
Lecture Hall) and in the Breen Student Union (Great Room). The theme is
"Strategies for Recovery and Regeneration," featuring a high profile
panel discussion including top sports medicine professionals. Details
