Established in 1921 at the University of Arkansas, the society now consists of 400,000 members in 970 chapters nationwide. The Grove City chapter of Phi Alpha Theta is an active, student-led organization that primarily focuses on preparing and supporting students in presenting research papers at regional and national Phi Alpha Theta conferences.
These conferences allow students to receive feedback from scholars from around the country while developing their resume for application to seminary, graduate school, law school, and jobs after graduation. Grove City College students perform consistently well with many participants receiving best of panel and best of conference awards.
